For the last 15 years, Edna has experienced and studied in-depth many teachings and therapies from traditional, spiritual, and psychological sources. Since 1998, she has conducted over 60 three day intensive group healing and leadership workshops, as well as many personal sessions, with over 2,000 First Nations people on sixteen different reservations in British Columbia and Alaska, as well as in England and Switzerland. Ninety-eight percent of participants have rated these workshops “very good to excellent”, and “would highly recommend” them to others.. She has mentored a number of First Nations community leaders, politicians, and workers, presided over various ceremonies and rituals, and has guided both native and non-native visionaries in the art of leadership. As the child of mixed-blood parents, Edna's lifetime dedication is to integrating traditional and modern therapeutic methods, using where appropriate the power of group process that is reminiscent of both indigenous ways and the best of modern psychology, in a deeply effective leadership and healing experience that demonstrates the mutual gifting available from all cultures. Edna has recently presented at various well-attended venues in the U.S., including: (1) the Annual Conference of the National Foundation of Women Legislators in Las Vegas, Nevada in August 2003; (2) the Heart of the Healer Foundation's Third International Gathering entitled "Mamapacha Unveiled: Communing with Gaia's Living Soul", held at the Shambhala Mountain Center in Red Feather, Colorado, mid-September 2003; and (3) the First Annual Sustainable Resources Conference (attended by over 800 people from 44 countries), held in Boulder, Colorado in October, 2003.
